We always have about 20 Swedish-registered BMW GS of the latest models in place during the trips. Our motorcycles are equipped with all the options from the factory so you have the opportunity to test all functions during the trip. If you are looking to buy a new GS there is no better test ride! Several of the models are also available with lowered suspension and low seats.
Fuel, full support and spare motorcycle are also included. Our motorcycles are well protected by Touratech Crash bars, engine guards, radiator and headlight protectors etc. Smaller scratches and scuffs (when you drop your motorcycle, for example) are usually included in the cost of the trip. If you cause an injury that requires us to change parts, you simply pay for the damaged part, neither more nor less. If you, for example, break a clutch lever, you pay for a clutch lever. All our motorcycles are fully insured through IF and if you cause greater damage, the excess is 10,000 SEK. If you opt for the excess reduction (SEK 1 900), you will reduce the maximum excess from SEK 10,000 to SEK 1,000.
All participants must wear full riding gear while riding. This includes an integral or motocross helmet (flip-up helmets must be closed during while riding), a back protector, shoulder protectors, elbow protectors, knee protectors, gloves and motocross boots. Touring boots are not recommended since they will not protect your foot well enough if the motorcycle falls on it. If you are unsure about your gear, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Don’t be frightened by the size, all available GS-models are easy to ride, even for the shorter riders. An R1200 GS is as easy to ride as one of the smaller models, thanks to smooth throttle response and an easily operated clutch. The training provided during the trip offers tips and tricks on how to handle the motorcycle if your legs are short, so you don’t have to worry even if you can’t reach the ground completely. If you feel unsure about the choice of motorcycle, don’t hesitate to contact us, we are happy to help you.
